LinkFam – Terms of Service

Welcome to LinkFam (“LinkFam”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the LinkFam mobile apps, website(s), and services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Services.

If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, you accept these Terms on behalf of that business and represent that you have authority to bind it.

1) Who can use LinkFam

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Services. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
  
  

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
  
  

• You must comply with all applicable laws and these Terms.
  
  

2) Your account

• You’re responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. Keep your login credentials secure.
  
  

• You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach.
  
  

• We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you’ve violated these Terms or pose a risk to us or other users.
  
  

3) Business accounts & listings

• Business accounts. If you create or claim a business profile, you represent and warrant that you’re authorized to act for that business and that all information you provide is accurate and lawful.
  
  

• Listings. Business details (name, category, address, hours, contact info, web links, coordinates, etc.) may be provided by you, other users, or third-party sources. We do not guarantee accuracy or availability.
  
  

• Edits & verification. We may ask for verification, request supporting documents, or reject/modify content to maintain quality and safety.
  
  

• Reviews/engagement. Users may like, comment, or otherwise engage with content. We’re not responsible for user comments but may moderate or remove content at our discretion.
  
  

4) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post or share anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory, hateful, harassing, threatening, pornographic, or otherwise harmful.
  
  

• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.
  
  

• Upload malicious code, attempt to hack, scrape, or interfere with the Services.
  
  

• Violate others’ privacy or intellectual property rights.
  
  

• Use the Services to discriminate or violate any law.
  
  

We may remove or restrict any content or account at our discretion.

5) Your content & license to LinkFam

• You own your content. You retain rights to text, photos, logos, and other material you post (“User Content”).
  
  

• License to us. By posting User Content, you grant LinkFam a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display such content for operating, improving, promoting, and providing the Services. This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except where the content was shared with others who have not deleted it, was used in backup/archival copies, or where retention is required by law.
  
  

• Feedback. If you send ideas or suggestions, you grant us a free, worldwide, perpetual license to use them without restriction or compensation.
  
  

6) Intellectual property

The Services, including software, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks, are owned by LinkFam or our licensors and are protected by law. You receive a personal, limited, revocable license to use our app and site as provided and only for their intended purpose.

7) Third-party services & maps

We may integrate third-party services and content (e.g., Google Maps/Google Places). Your use of such features is subject to the third party’s terms and privacy policy (e.g., Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy). We’re not responsible for third-party sites or services.

8) Location features

Some features use location data (e.g., to show nearby businesses). Accuracy depends on your device and third-party signals. Do not rely on LinkFam for safety-critical or emergency uses. Location settings can be managed on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect and use data.

9) In-app communications

We may send you service notices, transactional emails, or push notifications related to your account and activity. You can manage certain communications in your settings or device preferences. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe option.

10) Payments (if/when applicable)

If we introduce paid features, we’ll clearly describe pricing, billing terms, and refund/ cancellation rules. App store purchases are governed by store policies (Google Play, Apple App Store).

11) No warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or the accuracy or reliability of listings or user content.

12) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINKFAM AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations; in those cases, this section applies to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LinkFam and its affiliates harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from or related to your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14) App stores

If you download the app from Google Play or the Apple App Store, you also agree to their applicable terms. Those platforms aren’t responsible for support or claims regarding the Services.

15) Changes & updates

We may modify these Terms. We’ll post updates with a new “Last updated” date and may notify you in-app or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

We may update or discontinue features at any time.

16) Termination

You can stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or create risk to us or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do survive (e.g., IP, licenses, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity).

17) Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Venue for any disputes will be the state or federal courts located in [Your County/State], unless your local law requires otherwise.

18) DMCA/copyright complaints

• A statement under penalty of perjury that you’re authorized to act and that your notice is accurate

We may remove or disable access to content and, if appropriate, terminate repeat infringers.

19) Miscellaneous

• If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
  
  

• You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
  
  

• These Terms (plus any policies referenced here, like the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and LinkFam regarding the Services.
  
  

• No waiver of any term is a waiver of any other term.
